Dr Fred Koske suffered a spinal injury in October 2020 and has been confined to a wheelchair since. As a result of the injury, he is immobilised and cannot work or do basic personal chores such as feeding, bathing or brushing his teeth.He travelled to Mumbai, India on the night of 1st April, 2022 and underwent Stem Cell Treatment thereafter. Dr Koske is currently in India where he is going through neuro-rehabilitation to enable him get functionality of his limbs as he is paralysed from the neck down.The estimated cost of his advanced treatment including the physiotherapy sessions is 40,000 USD (Approx Ksh 4.5m).Viva Serenity is helping to raise funds for him, as part of their CSR activities and has currently raised Ksh 2.76m with the help of family, friends and well-wishers.
